Some plugs
I want to share with folks three fun blog activities going on right now:
1. The Blog Exchange - I am a huge fan of the Exchange. This gives you a chance to "host" another blogger on your site while she/he hosts you at her/his site. This month's exchange topic is a debate. Suggest parenting topics that have a clear pro/con (e.g. spanking, homeschooling, sugar cereal) and the talented hostess, Kristen, will pair us up. Sign ups end tomorrow, October 19th. Pairs will be announced next week and we all swap blogs on November 1st.
2. Jen at A2eatwrite - she has come up with a terrific writing challenge.
A. Create a list of things that you'd like to write about (ideas for stories)Send this list to to Jen by this coming Monday, October 22nd and then she will scramble up the lists and send you someone else's. You get to write a story based on that person's ideas. Post it by November 12th.
B. Create, in a little more depth, three characters
C. Create some sort of conflict(or if you're feeling generous, a couple of conflicts and your victim co-author can choose which one he/she likes)
3. NaBloPoMo - I really just love typing that out. National Blog Posting Month is November. Post every day for the month. That's it. I'm not only going to post every day here for a month but Jenn in Holland and I will post a photo every day for the month at our joint photoblog Looking Into. Which isn't anything new over there since we already do that.
Oh, and by the way, I started a photography group at NaBloPoMo. It is the second most popular group. Although the "American Bloggers" are catching up.
So what fun things are you doing? Anything I should know about?

Wow, you are going to be busy! I'm thinking about doing NaBloPoMo...not signed up yet...
thanks for reminding me about the blog exchange. I said I could pro one of your cons! Gloves on baby!
wow. that's a lot. I will think about the blog exchange thing. But NaBoPloMo? scares me. I think i will focus on learning an Italian Opera, which scares me more, but I've already committed!
Napster -
C'mon and join the month of blogging fun.
Jodi -
So you think you could take me down? What just cuz you're a lawyer?
Maypole -
OH PLEASE DO TBE!! As an added bonus, every person I've suggested "try" TBE wins a Best of TBE award. I know how to pick 'em.
I'm going to be out of town for TBE. but please invite me to your next event.
I'm doing NaBloPoMo and I am so glad that you emailed me about it otherwise I would have forgotten. I don't totally understand the site though.
Hmmm... lots of stuff to write. I love the writing exercise and it might be just the kick in the pants I need to get my novel going again.
Flower child - Yeah!
AE - I think there is this sub-community to play around with/in/around on the site but I'm just doing it for the kick to post every day.
Virtual Sprite - this is based on a National Novel Writing Month (have no idea the short version of it) which you may want to look for. But glad you are going to sign up. Be sure to link with me!
Yes, please come to NaBloPoMo so I can stalk all of you there too!!!
;)
I have met so many cool bloggers through the blog exchange *cough*you*cough*!
The next two months I am bailing though, with moving and all I am barely keeping up as a blogger :)
I commented here yesterday. I just know I did. And yet, I don't know what I said nor where the comment might be. But just want to say, thanks for the plug baby. I mean I know it's your site too and all, but still it FEELS like you are giving me the nod and I really, really, really appreciate it.
Also, I finally got myself signed up at NoBloPoMo and joined your photo group too. Yeah, I think that makes me pretty darn cool.
