Go Vote

We've been holding signs in opposition of Question 1 - a ballot initiative in Massachusetts that would eliminate our income tax. While my kids can't vote, it is important to have them participate in the democratic process.

And to have them come with me when I vote. It is our duty as citizens in a democracy to cast our ballots. It is my duty as a mom to show them I believe it is important.

I'm thinking of you today! I hope lots of people go voting and I hope the result can fill us with hope!

I voted six weeks ago, sitting on my living room couch. :) Even though he didn't really understand what I was saying, I talked to my toddler the whole time about America and how we participate in our freedom by voting. :)

We went to the final rally last night in VA. Stood for 5 hours and didn't get home until 1am. And there were tons of kids there! Something they'll never forget!

Hell yeah! Did right after the first morning rush today... and I brought MJ. She's still too young to understand but she proudly marched into the voting station saying a combination of "I vote" and "Obama O8".

My kids were so excited..They stayed up late to watch the results come in. I have 3 children..(11,8 & 5) and it was exhilerating to see them so interested in the whole process. They even made signs to cheer on their favorite candidate.
