Okay - I have to ask - my husband totally wants to run Boston but hasn't been able to qualify yet - he has come close - but not close enough! How did your Amazing Guy get signed up to run Boston for his first marathon. My husband swears you have to qualify! (Then again - maybe that is just his secret way of getting to sign up for more marathons!) LOL
That TOTALLY rocks! Please send him my best wishes for a great experience.

Res - the Boston Marathon has a charity program - people who don't qualify can get a number if they fundraise for a local non-profit or charity. Hospitals, medical research, and children's groups all benefit for the efforts. My husband is running for a housing group called the Metropolitan Boston Housing Partnership and raised nearly $4,000 for them.
