I'd heard her voice for years without really knowing who Blossom Dearie was - until I picked up a CD ten or 12 years ago. I just recently added her rendition of "Someone to Watch Over Me" to my iTunes...
We are losing so many of that era - there just won't be another time like it, musically. The Beau says I really missed my time in the 20th Century - should have been around for the heyday of Vaudeville and Crooners.
