Two weeks is too long

My boys are BACK! Oh and how I missed them.

[The above clip is so completely, over-the-top that it has to be funny. Horrifyingly funny.]

Now keep in mind I TiVo so I'm a day late. But did you hear Mr. Stewart's rage that we can't expect the Iraqi Congress to meet in August because it is too hot? He asked why we expect OUR TROOPS to be there if it is too hot the Iraqi politicians. Unfortunately the rage part is cut off from the link but just know, it was funny.

Funny in a sad, pitiful, who-the-hell-voted-for-this-*sshole way.

Anyone who reads my blog willing to admit to voting for the President?

Oh my goodness, this just had me laughing! I love Colbert and Stewart... watching Colbert is a fave family activity at our house! Thanks for giving me a smile.

I'm with you, I tivo and watch the next day. They are hysterical.

My first thought when I saw the first line of your post was, I didn't realize she sent the twins to summer camp.

Jen - I can't have the kids watch these shows. They want me to explain every joke and then want to know why I'm laughing about the war.

Jodi - a sleepaway camp for 6 year old boys? Where? Sign them UP!

Seriously we just had a great time reading Time Warp Trio in the bottom bunk so I'm not ready for sleep away camp. At least this week.

Ok, that was so funny... my facec hurts. Thanks Johnna. lmfao.

I too am a Colbert Stewart junkie. I TiVo the shows but somehow missed this one.

I actually got to see J.S. live once. It was a thrill.

Thanks for the laugh.

I saw JS live once too - it was amazing! We retold those jokes a hundred times. And I saw SC in an airport. It was magical.

I'm so glad to have them back - now I can get REAL news again. and pole dancing tips.

Nope, not me, I didn't vote for the (*expletive deleted*). Even though I was putting my "native Texan" status at risk. I had never been a member of the "Redneck Club", so that wasn't an issue.

I wish I could TIVO (pout).

Oh-where to start? That is just the richest, most over the top thing I have seen in a long long time.
I am with Fourier above, how I long for Tivo. Just for the colbert/stewart laughs.
This was SO FABULOUS.
And as for voting, you will note I LEFT THE COUNTRY after the horrifying re-election (I wish I could have left it after the fiasco of the first election). You know where I stand.

Not only did I not ever vote for DUHbya for President, I didn't ever vote for him for governor of Texas, either. AND I didn't vote for Tom Delay, although I live in his (former) district.

FWIW, just seeing a pole makes me point my toes.

Makes me sad we don't have cable! Thanks for the links. Jon is amazing.

I just watched Monday's episodes. Freaking brilliant!

I love Stephen Colbert so much (and that husband for just keepin' it real on that video clip). I can proudly say I never voted for Bush. My father in law did, though, and now he likes to make snide remarks about Bush. I always respond with "Maybe you should have thought about that before you VOTED FOR HIM!" In other news, I'm losing my status as favored daughter in law.

I miss John Stewart.

Back in the day when MTv was new, I had such a crush on him. What am I talking about, I still do.

And also, I'd vote for a freaking monkey over Bush. The best part - I am not joking.
