Show and tell
Back in February, when word started going around my sons' elementary school that I was going to The Netherlands for the weekend I got an email from one of their teachers.
Apparently the school had International Month in May. Each class was assigned a country to study for the month.
His class was studying The Netherlands. The teacher asked if I could pick up things, free or inexpensive items, for her to use in teaching the class about Holland.
I didn't do a very good job.
So I brought in an expert.

I've never been to Boston and I can tell kids about Belgium...not like anyone in the US bothers to really learn about Belgium, but still, I can do it!
:)
Glad you're having such a nice visit.
That's so great! Sounds like you're all having fun. :)
goeiemorgen!
Het is mooi weer.
Vele groetjes uit Belgiƫ (naast Nederland).
enjoy!
wow! talk about show and tell - I never brought in anything that could walk and talk!
You know that was more fun for me than any of them. I was darn proud to be show and tell for such a stellar group of kids... and such a handsome young man, who, yes, did seem kind of proud to have me there. Ah, that's so nice.
How cool are you to bring in walking, talking show and tell for your son?!
Oh me- me - what is your rate??? I am worried I can't afford you!!! LOL
How fun!!!!
Oh. Mygosh. That's so frickin' brackin' cool. I'm suddenly considering arranging Holland Day at my kids' school too... And Boston Day too, since Boston is kinda like a foreign country out here in Frontier Land... Yes, I think I'll get right on that.
(Looks like everyone had a blast!!!)
I knew that's where it was going! I can't wait to see you two!
Now that is a kick ass show and tell!
That's so cool! And I'm delighted you provided some "show" of your own. What incredible fun.

Aww... very cute. Don't beat yourself up for not bringing the perfect visual aid. At least you did not bring back "space cakes".
